“necessity is the mother of invention”

Anna Chiesa

Founder of The Balance Brush

Hey, I'm Anna, hairdresser and inventor of The Balance Brush.

I started hairdressing over 20 years ago, beginning my journey at The Rainbow Room in Glasgow.

After a short break in my career to have my daughter, in 2005 I picked up my scissors and haven’t looked back.

I now own two busy salons in the north of Scotland where I live with my children.

I never thought of myself as an inventor, however, I felt compelled to act when I couldn't find a decent blow-dry brush. You know what they say “necessity is the mother of invention”

I couldn't quite put my finger on what the problem was until one day while blow-drying my client's hair I had a 'eureka' moment! I knew we needed a hairbrush with a smaller, more compact barrel. I searched everywhere to try and find the right brush but had no luck. So I decided to take matters into my own hands, I designed my own!

Two years of searching for designers, manufacturers, packaging companies etc etc, the hairbrush I had been longing for was in my hand!  The Balance Brush was born.  I am sure, like me, you won't be disappointed!

The results we so desperately desire, smooth, flawless, frizz-free, healthy hair with a brush that's actually easier to use! Who wouldn't want that right?

Another proud moment was gaining a UK patent for The Balance Brush! Knowing that what you hold in your hand is one of a kind you know you have something special and innovative.

I want to thank you for visiting The Balance Brush.
