Be Your Own Hair Hero
Salon-quality smoothness at home, the way I do my own hair every day. Watch the full tutorial below, then use the steps as a quick reference. As always if you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out.
1. Prep your hair
Start with clean hair: shampoo twice and condition. Apply a leave-in conditioner and a light styling product of your choice, then blast dry until your hair is around 80% dry.
2. Section
Clean and neat sectioning is key to an easy blow-dry experience. Section hair in at least 3 horizontal sections starting just below the ears. Thicker hair may need more sections as you work up the head. Split the first section into two and pull each half forward over each shoulder.
3. The technique
Place The Balance Brush against the scalp, rotate to lock the hair onto the brush, then smooth down with your dryer. Repeat until the section is dry and smooth. Let the brush grab the hair and rotate, as this is what creates the balanced tension. Allow The Balance Brush to pick up the hair, it will pick up the correct amount of hair for your dryer to manage.
4. Work through your hair
Bring down the next section and repeat. Then repeat through each section.
5. Top Tip
After each section is dry, before you bring down the next, blast that section with the cool air. This will allow you to feel any damp spots you may have missed. Going back over any damp spots will eliminate any humidity and reduce the chance of frizz developing. Cooling each section also seals in the shine and locks in the shape.
